Biographical noteRoland Napoléon Bonaparte "prince Bonaparte" est né le 19 mai 1858 à Paris et est décédé dans cette même ville le 14 avril 1924. Descendant de Lucien Bonaparte, c'est un géographe botaniste français. Le muséum conserve des photographies anthropologiques acquises au XIXe ainsi qu'une proue de pirogue indonésienne (envoi du musée du Trocadéro) lui ayant appartenu.

Autochtone d'Amérique du peuple Omaha originaire de Boffalo (Nebraska). Membre d'un groupe exhibé au Jardin d'Acclimatation à Paris en 1883 (zoo humain).
